I’m so excited to be participating in sfgirlbybay’s pin-it-forward. I put together a little something about what home means to me … and hundreds of other bloggers are writing about this topic also.

Be sure to visit Brandi at Not Your Average Ordinary, who wrote about what home means to her yesterday.

Check back tomorrow to see what home means to Alely at Oh Sweetlee Me.

Below is a little preview of the inspiration that I’ve gathered on my board at pinterest. Be sure to visit to see the rest of what inspires me when creating a home.

The most important thing about home: my family. Home is where my family is.

Home is cozy and warm … A little messy …

A lot of color.

A place where we can relax, eat, play.

My home is a work in progress. But I dream of a colorful mix of new and vintage furniture and decor; our own artwork displayed; and organization. Oh, how I long to be organized …

Although Green Week is technically over, I couldn’t help but share the bits of green from our weekend.

Don’t forget to go see what other green bits were floating around the internet last week!

(Green pins are day 21 in my 365 project).

This week I plan to sew a pillow cover using this old sheet from a thrift store.

I might use this thread, too.

We need some springy colors around here – it snowed again this morning!

Remember – It’s green week! Go find some spring inspiration!

(These images are from my 365 Project as well … )

Green Week Day 2

March 3, 2009

in 365 Project, Color

It’s green week!  It is only day two of green week but I am loving it!  I have this heightened awareness of the color green all of a sudden … it’s like all other colors are fading into the background and I look around and green just POPs out at me.

This is also day 16 of my 365 Project.  I just realized that I never edited or posted my photo from Sunday- so sometime later in the week I will go back to day 14.

Also as I was editing this photo on my computer I realized I had left my camera ISO set to 1600 from yesterday … AARRGGHH.  That means that there is serious noise in my picture.  And I got a couple of shots that I really love.  Man I hate that.  I am going to try to recreate this one tomorrow at a much lower ISO.  But not tonight because I need my beauty sleep.
